Our Communities
We see community engagement as integral to our mission of building a circular, climate-positive economy.

Our outreach is not just about visibility but about fostering understanding of Viridor’s role in energy from waste, decarbonisation and the circular economy.
We promote awareness of the waste hierarchy and sustainability practices among young people and community groups.
Our services and operations help to create significant and sustained economic and partnership opportunities for people, contractors, suppliers and local communities in our service areas.

Where we operate
We have 12 Energy from Waste facilities in the UK. In addition, we have sites in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

Outreach
Talking with students and other community groups helps raise awareness and develop greater understanding of why our purpose is to build a world where nothing goes to waste.

Community Groups
Within our communities, Viridor meets with our local residents to ensure transparency and regular communication.
