We have grown from a small business in Taunton, Somerset, to become one of the UK’s leading recycling renewable energy and resource management companies. We’re part of the FTSE 250 Pennon Group which also owns South West Water, provider of water and sewerage services for Devon, Cornwall and parts of Dorset and Somerset.

We’ve maintained our heritage in the South West, recently moving into our new head office in Taunton.

We have two distinct operational divisions; ‘recycling and resources’ and ‘energy’. These two functions are assisted by our core support services; Engineering, Finance, HR, Commercial, ICT, Communications and SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality). We operate some of the most advanced recycling and energy recovery facilities in the country and need the best people to operate and support them.

Our recycling and resources business operate from four regions, allowing us to deliver a truly local service to our customers. Our Scottish region is headquartered in Glasgow, our Northern region bases itself in Bolton, in the South East we are managed from our Kings Hill office in Kent and in the South West we have a regional office in Taunton; near to our head office.

Our energy division comprises a network of eleven energy recovery facilities across the country which are currently operational or in development as part of our £1.5 billion investment programme. These facilities will run in partnership with our other energy generating facilities including our anaerobic digestion facilities, landfill gas recovery plants and solar developments.

The recycling and resources division incorporates all of our regional businesses and specialised recyclate trading arm, Viridor Resource Management. As part of this service we manage contracts with over a hundred local authorities and more than 30,000 businesses; safely managing over seven million tonnes of recyclables and waste materials each year.
