We manage and operate a number of facilities that, under strict control procedures, transform organic wastes to produce high quality compost and digeste products.
Open windrow composting reprocesses garden waste - grass cuttings, leaves, weeds and hedge trimmings - from Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) and kerbside collections. Over 12 weeks it is shredded, mixed and placed into huge windrows, or elongated piles. The material is checked and sorted before being shredded and formed into elongated piles called windrows. These are turned regularly to allow oxygen to feed the bacteria and other microorganisms, which over a 12 week cycle, transform the material into a stable, rich dark compost which is sanitised and weed seed free. The compost is then screened to various grades suited to specific markets.
We also operate a number of high-tech In-Vessel Composting (IVC) facilities in partnership with local authorities in the UK to deal with co-mingled food and garden waste. Computerised monitoring and forced aeration ensure correct conditions are maintained to safely sanitise and stabilise the material. Harnessing and accelerating the natural decomposition process, finished high quality compost is produced in as little as one month, whereupon maturation ensues and screening allows agricultural and horticultural grades to be produced.
We are an experienced compost producer and much of our Revive compost is certified to the national BSI PAS 100 quality assurance standard, accredited by the Renewable Energy Association's Organics Recycling Group (ORG).
We produce Revive soil conditioner compost from garden waste that has been used to win medals and awards at the Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower Shows. Our Revive compost can also be used for a range of applications and end markets including horticulture, agriculture, sports facilities, landscaping and domestic gardening.
